The ecosystem-based management of boreal forest in Quebec

The ecosystem-based management concept is relatively recent in Quebec. Its gradual setting-up joins in the renewal of the forest practices to answer more adequately the ecological concerns inherent to the concept of sustainable forest development, which contains legal fondations in the law on forests.

The update of the forested regime (at the end of the years " 1990 ")
Gouvernemental linkThe update of the forest regime, the works of which began at the end of the years ' 1990 ', joined a step in five stages, of which one of the public consultation.
On the whole, 133 memories were put down within the framework of the public consultation on the update of the Quebecois forest regime. Also, seven autochtonous communities pronounced on the question.
