The ecosystem-based management of boreal forest in Quebec

The ecosystem-based management concept is relatively recent in Quebec. Its gradual setting-up joins in the renewal of the forest practices to answer more adequately the ecological concerns inherent to the concept of sustainable forest development, which contains legal fondations in the law on forests.

The public committees on the forest regime in Quebec

So far, we count several public consultations on the Quebecois forest regime and on the aspects which are connected with it. For all these consultations, the political, economic, social actors and the population generally are invited to subject their points of view, under the shape of a report and in a verbal way, often to the ccasion of regional tours.
